Notice: 5-Day ISED Spectra System Shutdown for Upgrade
Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) will shut down its core Spectra certification system for the Code Drop 62 major update from 8:00 a.m. EST July 10 to 11:59 p.m. EST July 14, 2026. During the 5-day outage, only the independent search for ISED-recognized CBs and labs will stay available. All other services including REL lookup, new application submission, ongoing review processing and certificate download will be fully suspended, which will cause delays to Canadian IC certification turnaround.

Brazil issues new regulations for stationary lithium batteries
Brazil's National Telecommunications Agency (ANATEL) recently issued Decree No. 5314, formally approving the technical requirements and testing procedures for conformity assessment of stationary lithium-ion secondary batteries used in telecommunications equipment. Indonesia Further Clarifies Applicable Rules for Certification Test Reports of 6GHz RLAN Devices
Indonesia's Ministry of Communication and Informatics has issued a circular clarifying that starting January 15, 2026, test reports for 6GHz RLAN equipment must be issued by Indonesian local laboratories or laboratories from countries that have signed mutual recognition agreements with Indonesia. The new regulation mainly governs the source of reports, and relevant manufacturers should pay attention to qualification and frequency band requirements to avoid affecting certification.
