BTL hereby reminds that since each stage of PTCRB certification needs to reserve sufficient time to operate, the manufacturer should pay attention to and arrange the PTCRB certification plan in advance to avoid affecting the delivery of the project due to time conflicts.

In order to help the relevant manufacturers buy time and plan ahead, BTL would like to take this opportunity to give you a brief overview of the PTCRB certification process

1. North American network operator certification needs to go through the following 3 key steps:

Step 1: Obtain FCC certification in the United States or ISED in Canada (depending on the target market of the product);

Step 2: Obtain PTCRB certification;

Step 3: Obtain North American network operator certification (depending on the target operator of the product).

2. PTCRB certification goes through the following 8 key steps:

Step 1: The manufacturer submits a certification request through the PTCRB's certification database;

Step 2: The manufacturer selects a primary lab;

Step 3: The primary laboratory determines the required test items according to the function of the product;

Step 4: The primary laboratory submits the required documents to the PTCRB certification database after the test is completed;

Step 5: The manufacturer submits the necessary documents to the PTCRB certification database;

Step 6: The manufacturer pays for the certification;

Step 7: CTIA reviews all submissions to confirm that they have met the requirements;

Step 8: Obtain PTCRB certification.
