Electrical products imported to Japan must be safe for use in the country. In order to ensure that electrical products imported to Japan are safe, the Japanese government has Electrical Appliance and Material Safety Law, under which only electrical products which conform to the prescribed Technical Requirements can be imported to Japan with the PSE mark, if they are subject to the law. There are two types - Specified Electrical Appliances and Materials (
PSE) and Non-Specified (Other) Electrical Appliances and Materials (PSE), and the regulations for each are different, so please be careful.
