The Eurasian Economic Union (ЕАЭС), also known as the Eurasian Union or the Customs Union (EEU), is an economic and political cooperation union formed by Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. EAC certificates issued by these five countries are all acceptable.

However, the Russo-Ukrainian conflict breaks out from 2022. The United States and the European Union imposed sanctions on Russia and Belarus. Many companies boycotted Russia. Therefore, they gradually turned to applying for EAC certificates issued by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan or Armenia. If manufacturers have such needs, BTL can also assist in the application.

Recently, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission decided to make selective changes to the Program for the development of interstate standards to the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union "On Safety of Low Voltage Equipment" (TR CU 004/2011).

The program was supplemented with five new interstate standards for uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and low-voltage distribution and control equipment based on the current versions of the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards. The Russian Federation has been appointed as the standard developer.
