For most consumer or industrial electronic products, if you want to sell them to any member countries of the Customs Union (EAEU), Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Russia, you will need to apply for EAC certification. The certificate mainly has the following three standards:

TR CU 004/2011 (Safety of low voltage equipment)

TR CU 020/2011 (Electromagnetic Compatibility of Technical Means, as known as EMC)

TR CU 037/2016 (Restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and radio electronic products, or RoHS)

If any clients wants to confirm whether the product needs to apply for EAC, please help provide the HS code (10 digits) exported to the EAEU member country so that we can confirm for you.

On July 9, 2024, the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission announced a major update to the standard list of TR CU 020/2011 "Electromagnetic Compatibility of Technical Means ".

The Customs Union has updated the TR CU 020/2011 standard for electromagnetic compatibility of technical products. The existing standard GOST EN 55020-2016 (identical to CISPR 20:2006), " Sound and television broadcast receivers and associated equipment - Immunity characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement" will be changed to the new standard GOST CISPR 35-2019 (equivalent to CISPR 35:2016), "Electromagnetic compatibility of multimedia equipment - Immunity requirements" will be mandatory from January 1, 2025 to ensure that multimedia equipment meets strict electromagnetic compatibility and Immunity requirements and provides higher reliability and performance. 

The transition period for the old standards is until July 1, 2025.

The above amendments will take effect after January 1, 2025.
