On January 10, 2025, the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (KOMINFO) of Indonesia announced a significant reform, marking the official enforcement of the NOMOR 1 TAHUN 2025 regulation. This new regulation brings a complete overhaul to KOMINFO’s organizational structure and workflows while accelerating the digital transformation process. As part of this reform, KOMINFO is renamed Kementerian Komunikasi dan Digital Republik Indonesia (KOMDIGI) to meet the growing digital demands. At the same time, the Indonesian Directorate General of Resources (SDPPI) is renamed Direktorat Jenderal Infrastruktur Digital (DJID) to enhance the management and development of digital infrastructure.

This reform also introduces an important change. Starting from January 20, 2025, Indonesia’s certification of conformity will undergo significant updates. The new certificates will feature a new logo and QR code logo, and the certificate number format will be changed to “xxxxxx/DJID/2025”.

Following this, on February 18, 2025, KOMDIGI issued a new regulation, *KEPMEN KOMDIGI No. 13 Tahun 2025*, which brings an important update to the list of accredited laboratories. BTL's laboratories in several regions have been included in the DJID (formerly SDPPI) authorized laboratory list. BTL Taipei and BTL Shanghai are listed as Non-HKT authorized laboratories, while BTL Dongguan laboratory has received both HKT and Non-HKT dual authorization.

According to the requirements listed in the regulation, testing must be conducted at the testing laboratory location in accordance with the telecommunication equipment types and testing scope specified in the annex of this regulation, and reports must be digitally signed. For products with special ports (such as fiber optic ports), a local laser report must be provided, and for products requiring SAR testing (such as tablets and mobile phones), a local SAR testing report is also required.

The new regulation will take effect on January 1, 2025, and remain valid until December 31, 2026. This move signifies Indonesia's strengthening of oversight on international laboratories to ensure that imported products meet domestic standards for quality and safety, further protecting consumer rights.
