Latest Revision of the UK PSTI
On December 4, 2025, the PSTI (Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure – relevant connectable products security requirements regulations) issued its latest revision: within the existing “security requirements” compliance framework, recognition of Japan’s JC-STAR STAR-1 and Singapore’s Cybersecurity Labelling Scheme (CLS) has been added, allowing them, under specified conditions, to serve as alternative “deemed-to-comply” pathways.

The latest concession after Brexit: the use of CE mark will be extended indefinitely
On August 1, 2023, the UK announced an unlimited extension of the use of the CE mark. Products sold in the UK can choose to use the CE or UKCA mark.

The UK Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (Product Security) regime
This security regime is expected to come into effect on April 29, 2024. And from that date, companies involved in the supply chain of these products will need to comply with this legislative framework. A grace period of 12 months is expected from the date of publication until implementation.
