2 years! UKCA mark mandatory date extended again
The deadline for when businesses need to use the UKCA mark has been extended. All goods which previously required the CE marking will not need to use the UKCA marking until 31 December 2024.

Responding to Cybersecurity Threats,Act (EU) 2022/30 came into being
On January 12, 2022, the European Commission officially published Delegated Act (EU) 2022/30.This act lays down new legal requirements for cybersecurity safeguards, which manufacturers will have to take the three-point cybersecurity requirements into account into the design and production of the concerned products. Products related to this act include most wireless devices that can communicate over the Internet, such as smartphones, tablets, routers, cameras, smart watches, smart appliances, toys, and childcare devices. This act, which will give manufacturers a 30-month buffer period, will come into effect on August 1, 2024, as part of the RED certification, which will be enforced.

(EU) 2019/320 requirements will be mandatory from 17 March 2022
The Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/320 activates Article 3.3(g) of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU. It requires smartphone vendors to ensure that the smartphone must support the function of accessing emergency services in order to sell devices on the European market, from March 17, 2022.

Draft ETSI EN 301 908-13 V13.2.0 update
The European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) updated the CE certification standard EN 301 908-13 for LTE user equipment in November. The drafted standard EN 301 908-13 V13.2.0 is expected to be Official Journal in 2022. Compare with current version, the new version of the standard has further improved the requirements described on below

European Union (EU) 2019/320 regulations will be soon effective
The European Union (EU) Regulation 2019/320 activated Article 3(3)(g) of the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU. Mobile device vendors are required to demonstrate compliance with Galileo satellite, Wi-Fi and AML (Advanced Mobile Location) to facilitate selling devices on the European market from March 17, 2022.

Household appliances EMS standard update, what changes?
CENELEC released EN IEC 55014-2:21 in this year. It replaces EN 55014-2:2015 as the new EMS test standard for small household appliances.This standard has not yet been published in OJ, The manufacturers can choose according to their needs.
