A：According to FCC KDB 726920 D01 Confidentiality Request Procedures v01r02, the technical documents that can apply long-term confidentiality are Block Diagram, Schematics, Operational Description, Parts List, Tune Up, SDR Software / Security Info. The technical documents that can apply short-term confidentiality are External Photos, Internal Photos, User’s Manual, Test Setup Photos. Of course, the documents that applied for long-term confidentiality is also apply short-term confidentiality. In addition, it should be noted that, if necessary, Internal Photos and User’s Manual can apply for long-term confidentiality, with the relevant requirements are met. Q：What are the particularities of DFS products under FCC certification?

A：There are two kinds of DFS products, one is slave and one is master. 

      If the product is a slave device, then the authorization process of such products is exactly same as that of ordinary products. After the test, the filings should be submitted to TCB for certification. If the product is a master device, then this kind of product shall be sent to the FCC official lab for DFS test before being certified by TCB. FCC official lab requires a representative person to assist in setting up during the test.

Q：How to judge wireless products exempted from SAR testing for exported to the United States?

A：The regulations define that products within 20cm of the human body may be subject to SAR test evaluation, depending on the output power of the products.

      Handheld or wearable terminal products such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops and watches shall be subject to SAR test evaluation. 

      For products above 20cm away from the human body, SAR test evaluation is unnecessary and MPE evaluation is required, such as Bluetooth speaker, desktop AP and other mobile products, which may be fixed in a certain position for use.
