A2LA Extended to EN 18031, Comprehensive Capability Enhancement

EN 18031 is a series of product standards formulated by the European Union to implement the cybersecurity provisions of the RED Delegated Regulation 2022/30.

Following this extension, BTL Laboratory is now capable of conducting the following additional product tests:

1. EN 18031-1:2024 (General security requirements for internet-connected radio equipment);

2. EN 18031-2:2024 (Technical requirements for equipment processing personal/traffic/location data);

3. EN 18031-3:2024 (Security requirements for equipment handling virtual currency or monetary value).

BTL Laboratory’s recognition by A2LA for EN 18031 scope extension means its test reports will carry greater international credibility, providing authoritative assurance of product security for enterprises.

Authoritative Testing Empowerment, Ensuring Product Compliance

As the European Union imposes increasingly strict requirements on data security and privacy protection, enterprise products must comply with the EN 18031 series of standards and related regulations to enter the EU market. With the A2LA EN 18031 scope extension, BTL Laboratory will provide enterprises with more authoritative, efficient, and compliant certification testing services.
