Important Notes: About Malaysia ’s regulatory requirements for supporting the IP network protocol PABX equipment have came into effect and began to implement
In May 2019, the Malaysia MTFSF Technology Forum and revelant organization members updated the technical specification on the network interaction and the requirements for network security regualtion on item 588 of Section 185 of the Communications and Multimedia 1988 Act. The new specifications are for sccess to the PSTN and support for IP Protocol)PABX(Private Automatic Exchange) equipment of the network began to implement control.
Reference to the working principle of PABX products related to new regulatory requirements:

For the above PABX automatic network switches, devices that comply with the IP newtwork protocol to access the PSTN newwork are applicable to this specification.
The new specification requires:
1. Products that meet the requirements require samples to be sent to Malaysia for testing
2. The regulation is currently in effect and implemented in November 2019
This information is to used to remind relevant customers that if such prodcuts are imported into Malaysia, please pay attention to apply for market access permission for the products according to the new implementation regulations.
