The Mexican authorities published the official Mexican standard "NOM-001-SCFI-2018" in the official federal register on 17 September 2019 to replace NOM-001-SCFI-1993 on 14 May 2020.
However, it is necessary to extend NOM-001-SCFI-2018 until 14 August 2020, considered that the number of conformity assessment bodies is currently insufficient to complete NOM certification.
This means that NOM 001-SCFI-2018 or NOM 001 SCFI-1993 can be applied from now and 14 August 2020.
If you have any requirements in Mexico, please feel free to contact the BTL IA department. Thank you.
