ISED has been lenient in the past with submission of some exhibits. Family certification, there is no strict regulation on how to submit to be compliant. In the past, the usual practice is to provide complete internal and external photos of the main test prototype and product photos of different parts of the series prototype to complete ISED certification.
At the TCB workshop on October 25, 2022, ISED clearly stipulated that ISED is now requesting to see internal and external photos of all models / product versions in a family. From now on, when applying for ISED certification for multi-model/multi-product versions, internal and external photos of all models / product versions in a family are required, even if the applicant declares that all models are identical. This is applicable for all new family certifications or addition of models via Permissive Change application.
