As part of the requirements for the certification of telecommunications equipment, the implementation of SAR testing obligations will be implemented in phases, starting with head testing of mobile phone products and only accepting reports from local SDPPI laboratories. There will be a two-year transition period for this requirement. During the transition period, the applicant must provide a letter stating that the product will be tested for SAR in the SDPPI laboratory, and the SAR report must be submitted within two weeks, otherwise the certificate issued will be invalid.
