1. First of all, what is ENACOM certification?

Argentina ENACOM certification is a mandatory certification for wireless and telecommunications products. All equipment that is connected to the public telecommunications network and uses wireless radio frequencies needs to apply for ENACOM certification, and samples need to be sent to the local area for testing.


2. What products require ENACOM certification?

(1)All terminal equipment connected to the public telephone network and low-power spread spectrum communication products operating in the 2.4-2.4835GHz frequency band;

(2)Most radio equipment;

(3)When the output power of the product meets any of the following conditions:

          a. The peak value of the conducted power exceeds 500mW;

          b. When measuring the radiated power, the average antenna gain exceeds 40dBm and the peak value exceeds 43dBm;

          c. The average power density exceeds 13dBm/MHz;


3. Certification process and cycle

Process

 1) Provide product-related information and wireless specifications, confirm quotation and required sample quantity;

 2) Send the sample to BTL for preliminary testing (it takes 1 to 2 weeks);

 3) After the preliminary test passes, BTL will send the sample to the local testing laboratory in Argentina (it takes 1 to 2 weeks);

 4) The local laboratory in Argentina will issue a draft report after confirming that the test data is correct (it will take 2 to 3 weeks); 

 5) Submit it to Argentina’s official ENACOM for review. After ENACOM’s review is correct, a certificate will be issued (it will take 3 to 4 weeks);


Period

According to the process listed above, the entire certification process is expected to take 7 to 9 weeks.

 

4. Required certification information & sample requirements

A. Spanish user manual (including wireless specifications) B. Photos of the inside and outside of the product (six sides of the appearance)

C. Product nameplate (with Ramatel logo)

D. Test software and SOP

E. Technical information (circuit diagram, block diagram)

F.  Information form

G. Argentina importer information

H. 1-2 fixed frequency samples with all wireless functions

 

5. **Notes**

1. The certificate holder is a local company in Argentina (it is recommended to use the actual importer)

2. The certificate is valid for 3 years and can be renewed one month in advance.

3. Single model, single certificate

4. No factory inspection required
