The CCC standard for cellular mobile communication devices has been updated with new requirements!
YD/T 2583.18-2024 "Electromagnetic Compatibility Performance Requirements and Measurement Methods for Cellular Mobile Communication Equipment Part 18: 5G User Equipment and Auxiliary Equipment" (hereinafter referred to as the "New Standard") has been officially implemented since October 1, 2024, replacing YD/T 2583.18-2019 (hereinafter referred to as the "Old Standard"). To ensure the effective implementation of the mandatory product certification system, the China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has put forward the following clear requirements in accordance with the Technical Resolution on the Implementation of YD/T 2583.18-2024 Standard Version Change Certification issued by the TC 10 Electromagnetic Compatibility Technical Expert Group of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration:
1) Starting from October 1, 2024, CQC will adopt the new version of standards to accept applications and issue relevant standard certification certificates.
2) For 5G user devices in vehicles, the holder of the old version standard certification certificate should complete the product certificate replacement work according to the new version standard before the first tracking inspection is completed. All old version standard certification certificate conversion work should be completed no later than September 30, 2025.
A、 CQC will suspend the old version standard certification certificates that have not been renewed within the deadline on October 1, 2025 in the system.
(Note: During the suspension period, the product cannot be sold in the market. If the certificate still needs to be used, a certificate restoration/standard version change application must be submitted)
B、The old version standard certification certificate that has not been converted by December 30, 2025 will be directly revoked.
(Note: Revoked certificates cannot be reapplied for within six months for the same model).
3) Except for 5G user devices in vehicles, certificates that have already been issued will be converted through natural transitions such as product changes and certificate expiration. The factory annual audit will be implemented based on the standard version listed in the valid certificate
4) Chapter 8.8 of the new standard has changed the limit values for transient conducted disturbances, requiring additional testing of transient conducted disturbances for 5G user equipment in vehicles. Other related modifications described in the text can refer to the "Technical Resolution on the Implementation of YD/T 2583.18-2024 Standard Version Change Certification" issued by the TC10 Technical Expert Group of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration
5) Certified products that have been manufactured, put on the market, and are no longer in production before October 1, 2024, do not need to be renewed
Due to the fact that the conversion of all old version standard certification certificates should be completed by September 30, 2025 at the latest, there may be a large number of certificate replacement cases pouring in at the same time, which may affect the certificate replacement work time. Therefore, manufacturers are requested to plan the certificate replacement time in advance. Regarding the certificate upgrade work mentioned above, BTL has the ability to undertake relevant business and has rich experience in executing certifications such as CCC, SRRC, and network access.
