What new announcements will be implemented by BSMI on January 1, 2025?

With the arrival of the new year, BSMI has several announcements that will be implemented on January 1, 2025:


1. The audio/video, information and communication technology equipmentinspection methods that comply with the Declaration of Conformity and used CNS 14408 and CNS 14336-1 standards. Its validity is only until December 31, 2024. From January 1, 2025, standard of CNS 15598-1 should be usedand re-sign the Declaration of Conformity.


2. Starting from January 1, 2025, the inspection method for digital cameras and digital camera products should be used the Registration of ProductCertification or Certificate of the Type Approval of Product.If the original inspection method adopts a declaration of conformity, it will lose its validity from January 1, 2025.


3. The pre-amended inspection standard for audio-visual audio products (CNS 14408)will cease to be applicable from January 1, 2025. Only based on the inspection standards
before revision. The obtained product type approval or verification registration certificate complies with the "Commodity Type Approval Management Measures" or "Product Verification Registration Measures"Those who meet the specified extension requirements may apply for extension before December 31, 2024 in accordance with the original inspection regulations. After the extension, the certificate will be valid for 3 years.And can be used until its validity period expires; those who apply for extension from January 1, 2025 should provide the revisedType test report and technical documents of inspection standard (CNS 15598-1).
