BSMI’s related matters for those who need to import “wireless chargers”

BSMI has issued a notice that those who need to import "wireless chargers" from January 24, 2025 should promptly apply for the change of product classification number in the "wireless charger" product certificate before January 24, 2025 to facilitate customs clearance.


BSMI’s promotional items are as follows:

(1) Based on the 1198th meeting of the Commodity Classification Committee of the Department of International Trade of the Ministry of Economic Affairs on December 18, 2024 Records, the agency revised the "Classification of Imports and Exports of the Republic of China" to include The deletion of one item CCC8504.40.99.20-5 "Wireless charger" will be implemented from January 24, 2025 and add one more product number CCC8504.40.99.29-6 "Other wireless chargers" , involving the deletion of the reference product classification code of "wireless chargers" that should be inspected by the Bureau The removal or addition of items may affect the customs clearance rights of businesses.


(II) If you need to import "wireless chargers" from January 24, 2025, please verify your login certificate The holder of the type approval certificate shall submit the application to the Administration or its branch office as soon as possible before January 24, 2025. The Bureau is handling the relevant matters related to the change of product classification number of the "wireless charger" product certificate. It is convenient to handle customs clearance.
