Share:

Vietnam's Ministry of Science and Technology (MoST) issued Notification No. 41/2025/TT-BKHCN, introducing the first national technical specification specifically for 6GHz wireless access equipment. The new standard, QCVN 136:2025/BKHCN, will take effect on January 1, 2027. This standard applies to high-speed wireless devices operating in the 6GHz band.

The compliance requirements for Wi-Fi 6E/7 devices mentioned in Annex 1 of Circular No. 29/2025/TT-BKHCN issued in November 2025 will also be updated simultaneously from January 1, 2027: Wireless devices with customs code 8517.62.51 and using Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 must comply with the type approval and self-declaration requirements based on QCVN 136: 2025/BKHCN and QCVN 96: 2015/BTTTT.

The new standard adjusts the open frequency bands for Wi-Fi 6G to 5945-6425MHz, with corresponding output power limits of 23dBm for LPI and 14dBm for VLP.
