[Attention] IC ID registration fee will be adjusted by 1.7% on April 1

Share:

IC ID registration fees in Canada will rise by 1.7%‌, effective ‌April 1, 2026‌, following a prior ‌2.7% increase on April 1, 2025‌, as announced during Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED)'s October 2025 fee forecast meeting.

ISED certification is a mandatory market access requirement for wireless radio products in the Canadian market, and for telecom/terminal products that need to comply with the CS-03 standard. The increase in IC ID registration fees will directly affect the compliance costs of such products.

The detailed fee updates are as follows:

1. New Registration Fee: On April 1, 2026, Increases from ‌$804.14 to $817.81.

2.  Modification Fee: On April 1, 2026, increased from $402.07 to $408.91.

3. Additional tax information‌: Local Canadian applicants are required to pay applicable taxes according to their province or territory’s tax rates, which remain unchanged from previous years. ‌Non-Canadian businesses are exempt from these taxes‌ but must provide a ‌Canadian agent letter‌ to complete the IC ID  registration process.

BTL has been engaged in ISED for many years, both in testing and certification, and has rich experience. It can help companies to handle IC ID certification efficiently and provide legal proof for products to enter the Canadian market.
