The Korean Agency for Technology and Standards 2018-324 announces the implementation of the latest revision of KC 62133 (Portable Sealed Rechargeable Battery Safety Standard [Final Version]) from September 6, 2018. At the same time,they have the transition period, during which the old standard is acceptable, but the old standard can only be used until September 6, 2019.
This update revised the safety standards for lithium secondary batteries and added test items for lithium secondary batteries for smartphones, notebooks and tablets.
There are two main points to note:
(1) Added safety content of KC 62133 portable sealed battery;
(2) Added single-cell overcharge test, battery pack shock and vibration test to improve the safety of lithium secondary batteries for smartphones, laptops and tablets Sex.
