SDPPI new regulation regarding for Telecommunication devices

On October 15, 2019 Indonesia Telecommunication Authority (SDPPI) has released a decree/regulation No. 183/2019 ,

below is the main contents

 

1. SDPPI has determined the list of recognized foreign test labs for Telecommunication devices, such labs could proceed the business of testing report for the Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer

 

2. The test report of Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer, which issued by authorized labs, could be fully used for SDPPI application.

 

3. Recognition of foreign test lab shall based on the following options:

 

   a. has the ability to test telecommunication tools / equipment in accordance with technical requirements stipulated in Indonesia or equivalent;

 

   b. has a test lab accreditation certificate based on ISO / IEC 17025; and

 

   c. registered as a member of the Global Certification Forum (GCF) and / or the Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA).

 

This decree was signed on Oct. 15, 2019. And is valid for 6months.

At present, BTL lab is a recognized foreign test lab for Telecommunication devices Cellular Phone, Handheld Computer and Tablet Computer, which owns the scopes of RF、EMC、 2/3/4/5G and SAR etc., the test reports we issued could be used directly for the application of SDPPI approval.
