On 2019-10-17, The State Administration for Market Regulation announced that the standard YD/T993, "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Telecom Terminal Equipment Lightning Protection ", was removed from the requirement of compulsory product certification. From the date of announcement, product in category 16 would no longer need to comply with the requirement of surge test.
For the copy application, which is only change the manufacture or factory from the original certificated/ report, there is no requirement to remove the standard YD/T993 from the original certificated/ report.
