Added GLN marking to export compliance statement to Russia to require new specification implementation plan
On November 20,2020 a new procedure for registration of EAC declaration approved by Decision of the Ministry of Economic Development, explicitly imported to the member states of the Eurasian economic (Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan) of the goods to Russian federal certification services registered in imports of Conformity Certificate (Certificate of Conformity, CoC) and conformance statement (Declaration of Conformity, DoC), The Global Location Code (GLN) and Global Trade Item Code (GTIN) of the product manufacturer are required.
The decree was originally scheduled to come into effect on January 1, 2021. In order to allow the enterprises to be fully prepared to meet the compliance requirements of the Russian Federation Government, the formal implementation time has been postponed as follows:
1. Certificate of Conformity, (CoC): August,1,2021
2. Declaration of Conformity(DoC): July,1,2021
What is a Global Position Code (GLN)?
Global Location Number (GLN) is a coded data structure used to identify the legal entity, functional entity or physical entity involved in supply chain activities in the GS1 Global unified coding and identification system,
with Global uniqueness. With 13 digit representation, it is mainly used in bar code symbol automatic recognition, data acquisition and electronic data exchange.
What is the Global Trade Item Code (GTIN)?
Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) is a coded data structure used to identify Trade items in GS1 Global Unified Identification System.
GTIN is the unique identity of the free flow of products in the global supply chain and the pass for products to enter the market.
Along with the whole life cycle of products, it can record product from raw material procurement, to finished goods processing, packing, transportation, wholesale, storage, retail stores, in the end the whole process of delivery to customers, to achieve source available, accountable to chase, responsibility, thus effectively control the product quality and safety risk, safeguard the rights and interests of consumers.
