1. Ethernet network telecommunications equipment is a device that has 2 (two) or more Ethernet type interfaces in accordance with the IEEE 802.3 standard and functions to connect 2 (two) or more devices in the interface network.
SDPPI do not issue the list of the devices are include in KM 60/2022 due to the development of technology in this device allows the emergence of new devices with the same functionality. Ethernet devices could be consist of Router, Switch, Firewall, Wireless Access Point, Wireless Router and etc.
2. Ethernet network telecommunications equipment do not need to complete with Function Test Report, but the applicant should provide the declaration of conformity of the interface based on IEEE 802.3 , EMC and Electrical Safety Report. For Optical Interfaces equipment should be completed with Laser Safety Report as well.
3. Ethernet network telecommunications equipment do not need for TKDN obligation
4. Electrical Safety Report should fulfill IEC 60950-1 or IEC 62368-1. SELV should be under 42,4 V or 60 V DC
5. Laser Safety should fulfill requirement of class 1 or Class 1M based on IEC 60825
6. For Switch L2/L3 whose laser function is on the SFP, or which means the SFP can be removed/installed, do not required laser safety test report (Ref IEC60825-1)
7. If the proposed device has other features such as BT/WLAN, it must be submitted in accordance with applicable regulations
8. Please be informed that this regulation will be valid at August 1st 2022. Before the date, the application should follow the current regulation or PM 10/2019
