Brazil ANATEL Added Some New Requirements To the Test Reports Issued by Foreign Labs
On November 21st, Brazil ANATEL released the Official Letter 429/2023, which required all test reports issued by foreign labs meet the requirements of Act 4083.
According to Act 7280, ANATEL accepts test reports issued by foreign labs for some specific products, such as non-RF Network switch for corporative/industrial use, OLT, Digital Multiplexer, Coaxial cables, some types of Optical cables, Satellite transceivers and some others. Act 4083 adds some additional requirements when using these reports.
1. The applicant should report where the samples are produced to OCD;
2. The applicant should report the traceability of test samples to OCD.
Test reports which test before the above information is submitted are not accepted.
