[2025-Q2] GCF Certification Requirements Update
In 2025Q2, the GCF released the new version v3.97.0 of GCF-CC.
GCF-CC v3.97.0 will take effect on May 9, 2025, and will be mandatory on August 19, 2025 (GCF-CC v3.96.0 will be valid until August 18 2025).

The key updates are as follows:
1. Add section 9.2.2.6 to support RTT (Real Time Text) over 5G or 4G for the product, and the corresponding field test shall be performed;
Annex E, regarding the transition period of RTO, the corresponding WI-288-IPCAN notes the transition time;
In Annex F, part of the content is corrected;
2. Update related to Annex F documents:
F2 Declaration Summary
a. Add 5G NR FR1 power class 2 for DL Carrier Aggregation with 1UL Component Carrier of information corresponding to support band;
b. Add information to mandatory Supports RTT (Real Time Text) for 4G and / or 5G.
F4.4 removes a USIM test case;
F4.9 Change the reference standard number to 3 GPP TS 37.579-2 / 3 GPP TS 37.579-6 / 3 GPP TS 37.579-7;
F5.2 Field Trials New test cases related to RTT (Real Time Text);
3. Update of the Annex H documents:
In Annex H.3.7, list of test cases for 5G NR SA HPUE DL CA with 1 UL CC;
4. Update of the Annex J documents:
Deleted and corrected for section test cases.
