Recently, a huge change is happening to the CU EAC approval. To keep in providing a professional service to clients, two colleagues from BTL IA Dept. went to Russia for field investigation to clear the change.
What's happening to CU EAC?
1. CU EAC now request to apply by local testing
We apply for CU EAC transferred by CE and CB test reports all the time. From May 2019, authority from CU menbers reject transfer CU EAC certificates by CB and CE test report, but request peoviding sample for local testing.
Sending the sample to Russia may suffer custom problems. How to deal with the custom problems is one of the most important topics of the Russia trip. Should you have particular requirements, please feel free to contact with BTL IA Dept. to obtain the best solution.
2. RoHS DoC will be restrict
EAEU publiced the technical regulation of RoHS (EAEU TR 037/2016) in 2016, which comes into effect in 1st March of 2018 and restrict on 1st March of 2020.
Before 1st March of 2020, manufacturer (importer) can still sell electronics products without RoHS DoC; after 1st March of 2020, manufacturer (importer) have to apply for RoHS DoC before selling the products.
3. overseas (non-Chinese) factory may need factory inspection
CIG 023 factory inspection report is acceptable for Chinese factories when applying CU EAC approval. The non-Chinese factory may request to process the factory inspection.
On September 2019, two colleagues from BTL IA Dept. had a ten days field investigation in Russia.
From the field investigation, we knew that EAEU cleaning up authorities that do not issue certificates strictly accordance with EAEU regulations, and the number of issuing institutions has plummeted.

BTL screens authorities carefullly, ensure the validity of CU EAC certificates and unhindered customs clearance of goods in members of Custom Union.

Should you have any inquiries about CU EAC, please feel free to contact with BTL IA Dept. for more information.
