Mexico IFETEL approves the PABF 2024

The Instituto Federal de Telecomunicaciones of Mexico (IFETEL ) approves the THE ANNUAL PROGRAM OF USE AND USE OF FREQUENCY BANDS 2024(PABF 2024) on November 13, 2023.

 

The PABF 2024 includes the radio spectrum frequency bands that will be submitted to tender or direct assignment processes. It contemplates the inclusion of 13 frequencies for the Amplitude Modulation band, 42 for the Frequency Modulation band and 29 digital terrestrial television channels for commercial, public and social uses.

 

At the meanwhile, the PABF 2024 provides for the inclusion of the frequency bands 415 - 420 / 425 - 430 MHz and 806 - 814 / 851 - 859 MHz for the trunked radio service for public use; and the frequency band 824 - 849 / 869 - 894 MHz for the mobile communication service for social use.
