FCC EAS Systems will be down for Maintenance (5/16 8:00 pm-5/20 6:00 am at American Time))
Got notice by TCBC that FCC started the maintenance on 8pm May 16, 2019, The Equipment Authorization and Knowledge Database Systems could not be available during 8pm May 16, 2019 to 6am May 20, 2019, during which time FCC grants cannot be issued as usual.

At the FCC WORKSHOP meeting held on April 16 to 18, 2019, Canadian authorities announced the relevant data of certification in 2018, covering the number of certification applications, the current status of certification bodies and testing laboratories.
FCC new EAS is coming, let's see the changes
On February 19, 2019, FCC had a conference call with TCB members to explain the changes of the new FCC EAS system. Launch of new system will most likely be April 24th and redesign is progressing. The new system will make some new requirements for TCBs and product certification.
Portable Lithium Ion Storage Batteries(Mobile Batteries)to be regulated under the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act
On February 1, 2018, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI)decided to revise the notification titled Interpretation of the Scope, etc. of Electrical Appliances and Materials* to include portable lithium ion storage batteries, referred to as "mobile batteries," in the scope of the Electrical Appliances and Materials Safety Act(known as the "PSE Act"). Bearing in mind the impact of this revision on markets, METI sets a transitional period of one year from the revision; beyond this period, i.e. after February 1, 2019, nobody will be allowed to manufacture, import or sell mobile batteries that do not comply with the technical requirements or other rules stipulated in the PSE Act. *Note: April 2, 2012 商局No.1 of March 21, 2012

Revision KC 62133 was released and effective on September 6, 2018
The revised version of KC 62133 (IEC 62133:2012 ed. 2.0) for batteries and secondary batteries has been effective since September 6, 2018. compared to the unmodified version ,the revised version of KC 62133 adds some addition test to secondary and lithium batteries .Previous versions of the standard can continue to be used until September 6, 2019.
Singapore - IMDA modifications for the SRD 470-806mhz restricted frequency band
As of September 14, 2018, IMDA has stopped accepting registration (new application or update) of the SRD 698-806 MHz band equipment, and in addition, the equipment using the band will stop selling in Singapore from January 1, 2019.
